A 16 gauge English boxlock shotgun for S. Braybrook

Serial no. 23066, 16 gauge. 28 inch blued barrels with concave rib marked S. Braybrook, Downham Market. Birmingham proofs. Scroll and border-engraved casehardened boxlock action. Greener crossbolt. Non-automatic safety. Double triggers. Blued and engraved triggerguard. Checkered fore-end with Anson release and checkered semi-pistolgrip stock of dark walnut. Grooved horn buttplate.
Condition: Fine to excellent as redone overall. Barrels retain 99% reblued finish showing some light pitting, mainly to rib. Bright bores. Action with 90% plus partially faded casehardening and showing some very minor light pitting. Refinished wood showing few light marks, probably re-checkered.
