The 37 1/2 inch tapered octagonal barrel in .75 caliber smoothbore, molded muzzle with gold overlaid decoration in the form of three spired arches containing six-petaled blossoms; breech with gold decoration mirroring the muzzle decoration and surmounted by a fourth arch enclosing a gold-filled maker's touch mark; integral rear sight with gold banding and beading; five narrow silver capucines. Lock of typical form, the cock with beaded silver decoration. Sling swivels mounted on fluted iron bosses. Full fruitwood stock, the heavy buttstock of hexagonal section with walnut butt and inlaid with pierced and engraved panels of florals and strapwork; barrel tang framed with engraved silver panels.
Condition: Good. Barrel and lock with dark age patina showing some light pitting and losses to gold and silver decoration. Lock not functioning, the finial broken and missing the bead. Stock missing the fore-end cap and with losses at fore-end, the ten inch end section cracked through; stock overall showing numerous small filled chips and worm holes. One sling mount missing a boss on one side.
