An English flintlock fowling gun by R. Davy

Tapered, round 41 1/2 inch barrel in .70 caliber smoothbore, the breech with Gunmaker's Company view and proof marks and maker's mark WW. Rounded lock with swan-necked cock and marked R. Davy. Brass furniture, the triggerguard with trefoil finial. Walnut half-stock.
Condition: Good to very good. Barrel with brown patina showing areas of light pitting. Cock replaced. Stock with numerous small marks.
