A silver-mounted flintlock pistol bearing Ottoman tughra

The 6 1/4 inch two-stage barrel in .54 smoothbore. Barrel, lockplate and cock decorated with gold-overlaid scrollwork. Silver furniture, the sideplate and buttcap cast and chased in relief with panoplies of arms; triggerguard with vasi-form finial, the bow with panoply; triggerguard spurs and triggerguard with Ottoman assay office tughra. Full walnut stock inlaid with silver wire scrollwork and engraved blossoms, the grip with silver escutcheon en suite to sideplate and framed by two engraved silver panels of vases of flowers.
Condition: Very good. Barrel and lock with dark patina and showing minor losses to gilt decoration. Stock showing some chipping around buttcap and with minor losses to silver wire inlay.
