A U.S. Model 1863 Springfield percussion rifle-musket

Not serialized, .58 caliber. 40 inch barrel with standard proofs. Lock with Springfield markings, eagle and dated 1864. Walnut stock and iron furniture of standard pattern.
Condition: Very good plus. Grey metal showing sharp markings and some minor pitting, the barrel with small area of brown staining at breech. Barrel bands cleaned to white. Hammer retaining much darkened casehardening. Fine wood with scattered light marks.
