A U.S. Model 1841 Harpers Ferry percussion rifle
dated 1850

The 33 inch .54 caliber barrel showing only V/P markings at breech and retaining no traces of rifling, the rear sight dovetail filled. Lock with standard markings and dated 1850. Brass furniture and walnut stock of standard configuration. With associated bayonet, the socket marked C.61.
Condition: Good to very good. Barrel with dark patina and areas of light pitting. Lock with smooth dark patina and sharp markings. Front sling swivel broken off. Wood showing scattered marks, chipping to left front of fore-end, hairline crack at front of counterplate and worn loss below hammer.
