A brass-tacked Marlin-Ballard No. 1 1/2 Hunter's rifle

Serial no. 25991, .32 caliber. 24 1/2 inch octagonal barrel. Nickel-plated receiver. Walnut stock and fore-end decoration with numerous brass-headed tacks, possibly denoting Native American usage.
Condition: fair to good. Barrel with dark patina and areas of light pitting, the front sight missing post. Action with perhaps 50% nickel. Wood with scattered light marks, the buttstock with chip at buttplate tang.
