A Spencer Model 1865 repeating military rifle

Serial no. 1768, .50 Rimfire. 30 inch barrel marked M 1865 on top of breech and F.A.W. Casehardened action with standard markings. Oil-finished walnut stock and fore-end.
Condition: Very good. Barrel with dark patina retaining areas of what appear to be a black lacquered finish. Frame retains much thin casehardened with some small areas of light pitting. Sound wood showing scattered light marks and a few deep bruises.
