A U.S. Model 1817 Henry Deringer percussion conversion rifle with Confederate linen sling

Browned 36 inch .54 caliber barrel marked at the breech US/LS/P, side flat with large W, the tang dated 1827. Lock with US/H. Deringer/Philada in three lines and also with 1827 date. Iron furniture of standard pattern. Walnut stock with oval LS cartouche behind counterplate. Fitted with leather and linen sling denoting possible Confederate usage.
Condition: Fine. Barrel retaining 90% plus browned finish. Lock showing much of what appears to be original bluish casehardening. Furniture with dark patina. Stock showing scattered light marks, some chipping at patchbox latch and with two hairline cracks at the counterplate.
