A U.S. Model 1816 Springfield contract flintlock musket

The 42 inch .69 caliber barrel marked at breech US/JM/P, on side flat JM and on tang 1837. Lockplate with eagle over US and Spring/Field/1825. Iron furniture. Walnut stock marked opposite lock with JM cartouche and initials.
Condition: Very good to fine. Smooth grey metal showing sharp markings. Cock replaced and showing light pitting overall. Excellent wood with scattered light marks.
