A U.S. Model 1795 Type III Harpers Ferry flintlock musket with unit markings

The 45 inch .69 caliber barrel marked at breech US, eaglehead/P and J-. Top of barrel with double stamped unit marking Cond G. Hay/1r 1stB 4th D. Lockplate with Federal eagle, the shield marked US and at the tail Harpers/Ferry/1813. Iron furniture. Walnut stock marked opposite the lock JS (James Stubblefield) and W.
Condition: Very good. Metal with dark brown patina showing areas of light pitting and wear to some markings. Furniture with dark patina, the center band with sling swivel mount removed, the triggerguard lacking the sling swivel. Stock with scattered light marks, some minor chipping and splits at buttplate and with several hairline cracks at the wrist showing old and possibly doweled repair.
