A U.S. Model 1795 Springfield Type I flintlock musket with original bayonet

The 44 5/8 inch .69 caliber barrel marked behind the bayonet lug 797 and at the breech US/P/(eaglehead)/R/V/T. Lockplate with faint eagle and US and at the tail Springfield in a horizontal arc. Iron furniture of standard pattern, the buttplate dated 1801. Walnut stock marked opposite lock A/MZ/A.H. Tingle/R. Complete with original bayonet, the 16 inch triangular blade marked US, the socket also with US stamp and serial numbered to gun.
Condition: Very good. Grey metal with scattered minor pitting and generally sharp markings. Lock reconverted. Rear swivel and mount missing. Stock with few scattered marks and cracked at the wrist from one side of the triggerguard to the other.
