A half-stock American percussion rifle

The 33 1/2 inch octagonal barrel with six-groove rifling in .40 caliber. Top flat with open rear sight and extra sight dovetail. Double-set triggers. Engraved lock. German silver furniture. Maple half-stock with dark, striped finish and inlaid with numerous engraved German silver panels including oval patchbox with long finial and an eight-pointed star within a pierced border on the cheekpiece. Wrist with mount for peep sight, now missing.
Condition: Barrel showing older rebrowned finish, light spotting and missing the front sight. Stock with scattered light marks.
