A U.S. Remington New Model Army percussion revolver with period military holster
Serial no. 20281, .44 caliber. Standard military model with blued finish and faint inspector's cartouche on the left grip. Together with black leather military flap holster. Included is a noted dated 1990 stating the gun and holster were issued during the Civil War to 'Grandfather Hazard', who enlisted at the same evening meeting as Ulysses S. Grant, in Galena, Illinois.
Condition: Very good. Gun retains 50% blued finish with scattered spotting/minor pitting. Grips with minor marks, right side with chip at forward toe. Holster heavily scuffed, the tip cut off during the period.
