A Royal Navy officer's bicorne with tin transit case and associated cased pair of epaulets

Comprising: 1) Black beaver fore-and-aft hat piped in black silk ribbon, the front with black silk ribbon gold braid and gilt Royal Navy button, the gold bullion tassels both detached; white silk lining with maker's mark London featuring the Prince of Wales plumes. 2) Japanned tin transit case, the front with metal label inscribed G. Garret/R.N.. 3) Gold bullion officer's epaulets with multi-element commander's silver thread rank insignia; leather backing gilt stamped By Appointment,/Gieve's Ltd/London/And/Portsmouth; japanned tin transit case lined in red velour.
Condition: 1) Showing wear and fraying; lining and sweatband showing some tears and losses. 2) Case showing considerable wear to exterior finish. 3) Fine, epaulets showing minor wear, case with numerous marks to excess.
