A French Restauration hussar officer's sabretache
circa 1815-30

The black leather sabretache with shield-shaped gilt brass plate molded with the French Royal arms.
Condition: Front leather with surface crazing. Plate retains much of the gilt finish. One suspension ring missing, the leather retaining straps for all three broken.
