An American militia officer's sword belt
circa 1825-60

The cast, gilt brass two-piece buckle with round tongue embossed with a Federal eagle, the ring with laurel wreath, the attachment loops plain. black leather sword belt. Sword straps retain the brass swivels.
Condition: Fine. Buckle retains much gilt finish and showing some wear to detail. Leather with light surface scuffing, one sword strap showing more wear.
