An American officer's sword belt

first quarter 19th century
The 2 7/8" finely die-struck brass buckle of common militia form and molded with Federal eagle and stand of arms below the E Pluribus Unum riband and arc of thirteen stars. Mounted on original buff leather sword belt, the straps retaining the brass swivels.
Condition: Buckle with dark patina showing some staining at top. Belt very sound and showing scattered stains.
