An American militia officer's 'star of stars' waistbelt plate
circa 1815-30

Rectangular die-struck silver-on-brass plate with finely cast design of spread eagle and stand of arms below the 'star of stars'. Back with applied tongue and belt loop with two iron keepers.
Condition: Retaining 90% plus silver.
