A presentation U.S. Model 1902 saber for all officers

Slightly curved 34 inch blade with 18 inch panel etched with scrolling foliage, US, U.S. eagle and in inscription panel Don/Faulkner. Spine marked Germany. Nickeled hilt of standard pattern, grip of greenish-brown bakelite. Nickled scabbard inscribed Presented To/Donald L. Faulkner/By/Scabbard & Blade/1934.
Condition: Excellent. Hilt with slight wear to finish. Scabbard with light pinpoint spotting.

Note: The National Society of Scabbard and Blade was founded during the school year 1904-1905 at the University of Wisconsin by five senior officers in the cadet corps in order to promote college cadet programs.
