A U.S. Model 1902 saber for all officers inscribed to General Samuel C. Park, Utah National Guard

Slightly curved 32 inch blade with 18 inch panel etched with scrollwork, US and inscription Samuel C. Park/Brig. Gen'l. N.G.U. Ricasso marked E.A. Armstrong/Mfg. Co./315 Wabash Av./Chicago. German silver three-bar hilt. Dark horn grip. Nickeled two-ring scabbard. Together with a file containing two biographical sketches of Samuel Park.
Condition: Blade with minor scratches and slightly bent below the point. Scabbard with some light scratches, minor wear to finish and minor dent at drag.

Note: Samuel Culver Park, 1869-1920, a prominent Salt Lake City resident, resigned from the Utah National Guard in 1905 and later served as Mayor of that city.
