An inscribed presentation grade U.S. Model 1902 saber for all officers

Slightly curved 32 inch blade with 22 inch panel etched with florals and panoplies and inscribed on one side First Prize/Competitive Drill/K.S.A.C/1911, and one the other Presented by the Fecheimer Bros. Co./Cincinnati, Oh, (makers of the sword). Maker's marked ricasso. Bronze three-bar hilt molded with panels of laurels, the interior of the guard with eagle and thirteen stars. Green horn grip. Nickeled scabbard, the bronze mounts pierced and molded with foliage and strapwork.
Condition: Blade slightly bent and showing scattered light pitting, clear decoration and much of what appears to be a browned finish. Hilt with dark patina, the grip with minor chip above ferrule. Scabbard with few light marks and one small dent.
