A Revolutionary War era German spontoon

Having a broad 6 inch spearpoint blade with slight median ridge and cusped lower edge over an oval panel pierced with arrowhead and crescent forms above a faceted socket molded with three stepped bands and engraved with regimental markings R.N.-6/ E.N.2. Shortened side straps, one marked G I D I. Mounted on old 64 inch haft, the lower end mounted with robust spearpoint cone.
Condition: Grey metal showing areas of pitting. Haft with scattered marks.
