A scarce Civil War era U.S. Marine Corps officer's sword

Slightly curved 32 inch blade with broad, shallow fuller and etched and engraved with conventional florals, one side with U.S.N.. Bearing faint markings above the hilt for Horstmann & Sons of Philadelphia, the ricasso with crowned head mark of Weyersberg. Brass hilt of standard Model 1850 foot officer's pattern, the grip bound in leather and brass wire.
Condition: Blade with grey metal showing light pitting, wear to decoration and small nicks to edge. Hilt with dark patina, the quillon slightly bent. Grips showing considerable wear to leather wrap.
