An Indian tulwar
18th or early 19th century

Broad, curved 32 inch blade with two long fullers and showing traces of watered pattern. Hilt comprising long languets, straight quillons with button finials and large wheel pommel, the whole decorated overall in silver overall with floral meander, the underside of the pommel inscribed.
Condition: Blade heavily cleaned at one time and now showing dark grey patina with areas of watered patten above the hilt. Hilt fine and showing slight losses to silver decoration.
