Footnotes
A useful collaboration between two Geneva families with long traditions of watch making. The Bordier family traced its roots to Isaac and Jacob Bordier who began making watches in the late 16th century. The Roux family, on the other hand, were known in the 18th century as enamellers as well as watch case and snuff box makers.
