Footnotes
This elegant model and its variant armchair were first designed in 1923 for client David Weill. They feature a subtle petal-form carved back, flanked by gently sloping arms. The fact that they were pictured in several Compagnie des Arts Français publicity photos, including an in situ shot of the Orsay perfume showroom, only lends credence to the success of the design.
