An H.J. Wilm hammered sterling silver and ivory Modernist four piece tea and coffee service
Berlin, 1930s
comprising a teapot, coffee pot, covered sugar and cream jug together with an associated hot water jug with woven wicker handle and two oval trays, each stamped on the underside with German crescent moon and crown marks, a required date symbol of a swastika, maker's marks and further 925/H.J. WILM/BERLIN

approximately 127 troy oz gross weight (7)

The offered lot is a rare example of German Modernist design as much of the silver of this period was melted down during World War II as Modernism was unpopular with the Nazi regime.
