mfon, possibly by the carver Onyak, the face with downcast eyes and open mouth revealing tongue or teeth, the coiffeur with open-carved twisted braids or coils of hair, secured with two combs, the handles of which are also carved projecting upward on either side of the temple, the superstructure of three coiling "horns" with central pestle or urn shape with spool carved upward projecting pestle or finial; dark-brown pigment and resin coating, especially notable on the face.
