probably for attachment to a sacred flute, with perforations on all sides for attachments, an elongated forehead with the upper portion carved with a ledge, the face with overhanging eyebrows, semi-circular drilled eyes inlaid with shell, lug ears with two perforations, a prominent hooked nose with fully perforated septum, a crescent-shaped mouth revealing pointed clenched teeth; fine encrusted dark-brown patina.
