In this painting, Butler (born ca. 1959) uses interlocking fine dotted lines of colorful intensity which describe the story of the boys initiation ceremony as practiced at Irrunytju. Over several weeks each year, boys and men travel to sacred sites to fulfill their traditional obligation. In the painting, two boys are depicted sleeping in one corner of the painting.
