The Royal Victorian Order, C.V.O., Commander's neck badge in silver-gilt and enamel, unnumbered; Jubilee 1887 with 1897 bar, engraved (Charles G.C.Eliot, The Gift of the Queen 1887.); Germany, Saxony, Albert Order, Commander's neck bage in silver-gilt and enamel, with miniatures of the second and third. Together with Jubilee 1887 with 1897 bar, engraved (Constance R.Eliot, The Gift of the Queen 1887.), with corresponding miniature. Very fine. (Lot)

The Honourable Charles George Cornwallis Eliot was born on 16.10.1839, he was the sixth son of the 3rd Earl of St.Germans. He served as Equerry to Prince and Princess Christian from 1869-96, Groom to the Privy Chamber 1871-99. Treasurer and Comptroller of the Household of Prince and Princess Christian 1896-1901, Gentleman Usher of the Household 1899-1901. He married Constance Rhiannon Guest on 26.10.1865. He died 22.5.1901.

The Hon Mrs C.Eliot served as Lady in Waiting to H.R.H. Princess Frederica of Hanover, she died 22.3.1916.
