A silver porringer

by William Comyns & Sons Ltd, London 1938
On stepped foot, the sides engraved with rural scenes and exotically dressed figures, the scroll handles with cherub heads to top, and with pierced leaf finial, together with a graduated pair of sauceboats, the first by Stephen Adams I, London 1769 the second Dublin, marks rubbed, both on three stepped hoof feet, the body with foliate scrolling band and acanthus capped open scroll handle, both crested, weight 23oz.
