A George IV mahogany concertina action dining table

The rectangular top with rounded angles and reeded edge incorporating a hinged drop flap and enclosing four additional leaves, raised on eight reeded tapering legs with bell shaped capitals on reeded gilt brass caps and castors, 238cm wide, 142cm deep, 73cm high (93.5in wide, 55.5in deep, 28.5in high).

This table belonged to George Cowie Grant, St Margaret's House, Dufftown, Scottish Highlands and previously to William Grant, the founder of Glenfiddich single malt whisky, and thence by family descent to the current owner.
