A Jacobite light baluster wine glass

Circa 1750
The bell shaped bowl engraved to one side with an open rose flanked by a closed bud and to the reverse with a crest depicting a lion statant guardant, probably that of Fairfax, on a triple knopped stem and a domed circular foot, 16cm high

Saleroom notices

Provenance: From the collection of Rosemary Aspin, Broomhill House, Grantown on Spey. The collection was started in the 1920s by her parents. Some of the collection was sold by Christie's in 1999.
