An Edwardian Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Piper's dirk

The 30cm plain blade with faceted and diagonally grooved back edge and clip back point, the blade etched with thistles and maker's name 'Robt Mole & Sons Makers Birmingham' and stamped '98', the obverse stamped with government ownership mark and inspector's mark, bog-oak studded handle with a King's crown white metal finial, the hand grip's bottom metal band stamped on the reverse, 'A & SH 34', contained in a black leather scabbard, mounted with four steel thistle spray mounted chapes.
