A Scottish 32-bore all-metal flintlock belt pistol

By Christie of Perth, third quarter of the 18th century,
With foliate scroll engraved four-stage barrel faceted at the flared muzzle and fluted at the breech, signed border, engraved flat bevelled lock decorated with foliate scrollwork on the tail, faceted top jaw and steel, the stock engraved with characteristic scrollwork and with line ornament enclosing designs of scrolls below the lock, the decoration enriched with silver inlay, ram's horn butt en suite and with a vacant silver escutcheon on both sides, silver button trigger and threaded pricker each engraved as a floret, pierced engraved belt hook, with London proof and view marks, ramrod and ramrod pipe missing, some rust patination overall,
19cm barrel.
