The body of bulbous form with an elongated neck, with blue enamel decoration of stylised flowers on a cream ground, 20cm high, incised M.Steel 294, pencil marked with the date 1922

Mary Nicol Neill Armour(1902-2000) was a Scottish landscape and still life painter. She was born Mary Steel on 27th March 1902 and in 1927 she married the painter William Armour. She attended Glasgow School of Art from 1920 - 1924.
