"Lesley Bratton/Lendrum, met Ian Hamilton Finlay in the 1950's whilst living in Edinburgh and remained a lifelong friend of his, spending lots of time and also written correspondence with him. She greatly admired his work hence she was given and purchased much of his material, which was proudly displayed in her home".
