A silver presentation bowl

by Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1930
On domed circular foot, the upper body interspersed with four semi-circles rising above the rim, two pierced with fan design, two with applied brackets issuing loop knopped handles, together with a rose bowl, by Edmond Johnson of Dublin, other marks rubbed, on domed foot, the shaped rim with small mask detail, with twin lion mask head handles to either side, both with presentation inscription, weight 49.8oz. (2)

The presentation inscription on the first bowl reads;
Polo Club of Palestine 1934 Presented by Mons A. Bertrand to the Officers of the 1st Batt Seaforth Highlanders.

The presentation inscription of the second bowl front reads;
All Ireland Army Rifle Meeting 1922.
to the reverse;
The Kilworth Cup.
