A Victorian large twin handled cup

maker's mark rubbed, Birmingham 1887
On spread circular foot with reeded rim, the lower body gadrooned, the looped handles with beaded central band and stylised acanthus leaf terminal, with presentation inscription, the large base with seventeen shield plaques to circumference, engraved with winners names 1895-1909, height to top of handle 52cm, weight 77oz. The presentation inscription reads;
Regimental Challenge Cup presented by the Officers 1st Batt. Seaforth Highlanders Ross-shire Buffs (The Duke of Albany's) to the company having the greatest number of winners at The Annual Regimental Highland Games. 1894.
