Saleroom notices
Brosse was known for making unusual and precise clocks and watches, and a number of his exceptional regulators are housed at the Musée des Arts et Métiers, Paris. All have highly sophisticated and unusual escapements, namely interesting and various forms of detent and constant force escapements. He was awarded a silver medal at the Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie Francaise in 1844.
