A good early 19th century brass-strung rosewood table clock

Wilson, Southampton Street, Strand
The chamfer top with brass inlaid volute mounts over the glazed door with brass mounted corners, each side with reticulated brass side frets and ring handles on a double plinth base with foliate scroll decoration and reeded moulding, raised on four brass ball feet, the signed 5.5 inch silvered Roman dial with engraved floral spandrels, moon hands and strike/silent lever above XII, the twin fusee movement with shouldered plates united by five knopped pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell. Finial and one handle lacking. 36cm (14.25in)
