playing eight popular and patriotic airs, massive quadruple longue-marche crank-wind motor, the twin combs each stamped with the maker's anchor mark, repeated to the top of the governor, on very substantial reeded cast gilt bedplate, running gear from the main drive shaft present for absent automaton, mounted within glazed and mahogany framed showcase, coin slot for actuation to one corner, automatic change, and crank from hole to side - 45.1/4in. (115cm) wide, the depth 18.1/4in. (46.5cm), the cylinder 18in. (46cm)

Condition: G II 2 (one take-up spring in first gang failed - limited wind possible)

For many years, this movement was installed as an attraction in the lobby of a respected Devon hotel, hence the later showcase and coin slot for actuation.
