Two important snuffboxes, by F. Nicole:

circa 1822 and 1825 respectively,
Ser. No. 1050,
playing two airs, with stamped single-section comb, serial number stamped twice to the plain brass bedplate, under horn cover in plain noir tortoiseshell case, gold hinge, the lid with diamond mother-of-pearl cartouche and to the front start/stop and change/repeat buttons, radial sunburst decoration to underside, with a key;

The second box playing the same two airs with almost identical notation:

Ser. No. 2683,
with stamped single-section comb on stamped plain brass bedplate under horn cover, in figured noir tortoiseshell case with gold hinge, the lid with tiny brass cartouche inscribed Souvenir du 13 Juillet 1825, mother-of-pearl start/stop and change/repeat buttons, plain underside, with a key - the first - 3.1/2in. (9cm) wide, the cylinder 2.1/2in. (6.5cm), the second 3.5/8in. (9.2cm), the cylinder 2.1/2in. (6.5cm)
