A lute player musical automaton, by G. Vichy,

circa 1890,
the seated boy with composition head and hands, dressed in blue silk suit with white lace cuffs and cravat, matching shoes with pom-poms, on re-finished fluted column, green velvet covered square base, when actuated, moving head up, down and side to side, strumming the instrument and tapping right foot, with a key, start/stop also to rear at base, (re-dressed, his right thumb missing) - 26in. (66cm) high
