18th/19th Century

With tapering fullered single-edged blade becoming stiff diamond section at the point, beaked hilt and pinched-in basal mounts each damascened with gold foliage (worn), the former with small pierced mount for a suspension swivel (missing), and rounded ivory grip-scales, in original wooden scabbard covered in purple velvet (plush worn off) with gilt-copper (gilding worn) locket and chape each with shaped and pierced inner border, the latter with bud-shaped terminal
