The blade with three mekugi-ana, suguha hamon, itame hada, bound tsuka (ito damaged) with shakudo-nanako fuchi-kashira decorated with various insects in soft-metals, soft-metal in the form of spiders and ants, and yamagane tsuba in the form of a coiled snake with soft-metal details, in its black ishime lacquered saya decorated with a snake, toad and frog in gold, silver, brown and red lacquer, and with shakudo-nanako koi-guchi, kurikata, uragawara, kojiri and kodzuka all decorated en suite with the tsuka
