Signed Chounsai Tsunatoshi, Dated 1833

The blade with one mekugi-ana, suguha hamon, fully bound tsuka with shakudo-nanako fuchi-kashira decorated in soft-metals with the rival generals at the Uji river, gold menuki in the form of the Gods of good luck, Ebisu and Daikoku and mokko-shaped shakudo-nanako tsuba decorated with scrolling foliage and Kiri in gold, in its green and black lacquered saya inlaid with chips of mother-of-pearl, shakudo kurikata decorated with flowers in gold and complete with shakudo-nanako kodzuka decorated with a bundle of reeds in gold and silver
