A Very Rare .28 Pecare & Smith's 1849 Patent Ten-Shot Percussion Pepperbox Revolver
Circa 1850

With barrel-block retaining some original blueing and with integral ribs stamped 'Pecare & Smith's' along one, and 'Cast Steel' and 'Patent 1849' respectively along two others, foliate engraved nipple-shield and rounded action, the latter with ovoidal aperture at the top revealing the semi-concealed hammer, folding trigger, rounded butt engraved en suite with the action along the back, figured rounded grips, and later iron suspension ring
